Violence in a Women’s Prison

(Bruno Mattei; 1982)

(Shriek Show)

-Overview-

A undercover reporter gets herself sent to prison in order to expose the inhumane practices going on there. When she is discovered, she ends up on the receiving end of even worse treatment.

I was a little disappointed in this one, as I had high expectations for its “shock” value. Violence manages to be both sleazy and dull at the same time. Torture, rape, and T&A abound, yet still the film drags. Not a bad outing, but perhaps I was expecting another Ilsa film, which this is not. For genre fans only.

-Sound-

In stereo. No problems of note. Sound could be better, could be worse.

-Picture-

Presented in widescreen, with no flaws or distortion of any kind.

-Special Features-

-         Trailers

-         Interviews with filmmakers and cast.

-Box Art-

Nice artwork on this one. Nice and trashy. Standard DVD packaging..
