Torso
(Sergio Martino; 1973)
(Anchor Bay Entertainment)
-Overview-
A series of grisly sex murders shock a college campus in Italy, and four girlfriends head for a secluded villa for vacation. Soon the murders start happening in the surrounding village as the women discover they aren’t safe after all.
This is a brilliant example of the classic Italian Giallo done right. The pacing is excellent, as is the script. The murders are graphic yet stylish, and there’s lots of naked woman flesh throughout. An extremely underrated film that’s plenty sleazy. Fun for the whole family. Essential viewing.
