Squirm

(Jeff Lieberman; 1976)

(MGM)

-Overview-

When a thunderstorm downs some power lines into a worm farm, the worms are mutated into killer monster worms. Soon the town is overrun with evil flesh eating worms that burrow right into the skin of the townsfolk.

It took me two sittings to actually get through this film. The first half drags really badly, but it does eventually pick up. It’s strictly campy 70’s drive-in fare pretty much devoid of gore and T&A, but it does have its moments. The early effects of Rick Baker of course are excellent. Worth a look for the worm zombie alone. Not great, but I’ve seen worse.
