Satan’s Cheerleaders
(Greydon Clark; 1977)
(VCI)
-Overview-
A group of scantily clad high school cheerleaders stumble upon a devil worshipping cult when the school janitor tries to rape one of their group. Peril!
I had to get this one for nostalgic reasons. When I used to work in a video store I used to play this one in the store at Christmas time. It’s not a bad film, as far as bad films go, but it does tend to drag a bit. The 70’s porno soundtrack never quits and the acting is horrible. Still the point of the film is essentially watching the cheerleaders jump about in their skimpy uniforms. One of the campier films of the 70’s, no doubt. A decent amount of T&A, but no gore. Worth a rental, if you can find it.
-Sound-
Presented in Dolby Mono. The soundtrack sometimes cuts out and there is some distortion, and the sound of a needle being placed down on a record can be heard occasionally. Hilarious.
-Picture-
Picture is mediocre, with washed out colors and some graininess.
-Special Features-
- Trailer for Satan’s Cheerleaders and Ruby
-Box Art-
I wish they would have left the original artwork in place, but the “new” artwork is just as cheesy. Standard DVD packaging.
