Silent Night Deadly Night 5: The Toymaker

A child receives an early Christmas present, which has a “Do not open before Christmas” tag on it.  Well of course the boy has to open the present.  As he is ripping into it his dad comes down stairs and stops him, gives him crap and sends him back to bed.  In turn the dad opens the gift and gets the real gift of death.  Oh sweet death.  The kid, now traumatized, has to go through the days before Christmas fatherless and mute.  The rest of the movie is basically the boy and his widow of a mother trying to survive crazed out of control mutant toys until New Years.  Even the babysitter isn’t safe.  Special guest is Kim from 4, she has the same hair!   Oh yeah, Lonnie came back too. Yippee.

All in all this movie is a good doorstop.  Some good special effects at the end.  Well good costumes anyway.
