Q The Winged Serpent

(Larry Cohen; 1982)

(Anchor Bay)

-Overview-

“Q”, or Quetzacoatl, An ancient Aztec demon, has nested somewhere in New York. Only one man knows where it is… and he’s not talking.

A decent modern day monster movie. Not overly gory, but this one has a great story and you certainly won’t be bored. The special effects are delightfully cheesy. Worth checking out. Cohen is a superb director…. Well except for The Stuff, perhaps….

-Sound-

The sound could be better, but it’s watchable. Presented in Dolby Digital 2.0.

-Picture-

One of Anchor Bay’s earlier DVD efforts, and it shows. Plenty of Artifacting and Pixellation. Presented in widescreen.

-Special Features-

Bare Bones. Anchor Bay certainly got better with age.

-Packaging-

Standard DVD keep case.
