Inferno

(Dario Argento; 1980)

(Anchor Bay Entertainment)

-Overview-

A young woman stumbles upon a dusty tome titled “The Three Mothers”, detailing an unholy trinity of evil residing in three buildings around the world. One in New York, One in Rome, and one in Germany. The evil is unleashed and innocent people start dying. It’s up to the woman’s brother to unravel the mystery before it’s too late.

Considered to be the sequel to SuspiriaInferno picks up where its predecessor left off, exploring the two other locations in Rome and New York and the evil that dwells within them. Plenty of Argento’s trademark visuals including plenty of  bloody deaths (although not quite as graphic as those found in Suspiria) plus an intriguing story make this one a must see. A small amount of mild T&A (Courtesy of the lovely Irene Miracle) is prevalent as well. Essential viewing for genre fans.
