Guinea Pig – Flower of Flesh & Blood
(Hideshi Hino; 1985)
(Unearthed Films)
-Overview-
A deranged man kidnaps and drugs a young lady, then dons a samurai helmet and systematically butchers her alive piece by piece before adding her to his collection.
The Guinea Pig series has gained notoriety the world over with its controversial mock-snuff film approach and vivid graphic violence, and rightfully so. Flower of Flesh & Blood, the second installment in the series is really light on plot, really heavy on the visuals. Clocking in at only 45 minutes, the film pulls no punches in exploring the dissection of a woman in graphic gory detail. The effects are very convincing, but the sound effects can come across as laughable at times. Not for the squeamish or easily offended, this film will satisfy even the most jaded of gorehounds. Highly recommended.
