Escape From Hell
(Edward G. Muller; 1979)
(Troma)
-Overview-
After years of rape, torture, and degradation, a group of scantily clad female prisoners devise a plan to rise up against their male oppressors and go over the wall. All the women that have attempted to escape in the past have been killed or worse, but extreme situations call for extreme measures. Unfortunately, the lustful, bloodthirsty guards aren’t the only things standing between the ravishing prisoners and freedom. They must also overcome snakes, leeches, quicksand, and the nightmares of past atrocities if they want to escape from Hell.
If you like women in prison movies, you’ll certainly dig this one. Sleazy as they come, Escape From Hell is chock full of rape, torture, sex that borders on pornography, lesbo action, violence and degradation. Tons of T&A abound as the busty prisoners jiggle about their daily work assignments, quite often stripped naked. The film could have used a lot ore gore but more than makes up for that in the sleaze department. Recommended.
-Sound-
Adequate sound quality.
-Picture-
Poor. It’s obvious that this was taken from a VHS copy in the FBI disclaimer at the beginning of the film. The print is distorted and blurred, often times the colors are washed out, and there’s tons of artifacting prevalent. Not to mention it’s in Pan & Scan.
