Dark Universe

(Fred Olen Ray; 1993)

(Retromedia)

-Overview-

A budget version of NASA encounters problems when they lose contact with their shuttle upon re-entry. Having crashed into a swamp deep in the wilds of Central Florida, a news crew, with the help of an ambitious Scientist, attempt to discover the crash site. Problem is, the shuttle pilot turned into a rubber monster and likes to jab it’s 10 foot tongue into people’s stomachs.

Bleh. Pure tripe. I enjoy bad films as much as the next masochist, but this one is just plain boring. The effects are atrocious as can be expected and there’s not nearly enough T&A to sustain the rest of this waste of film. Dark Universe does have some terribly entertaining (read: bad)  dialogue, and the reporter woman has a very nice rack. Other than that, avoid.
