Combat Shock

(Buddy Giovinazzo; 1986)

(Troma)

-Overview-

After being captured and tortured in Vietnam, a depressed ex-soldier finds himself back in America and down on his luck. Unable to find a job and living in a slum apartment with a wife, mutant play-doh baby and another on the way, he wanders the streets looking for a solution to his predicament.

Absolutely brilliant film. Bleak and depressing, with plenty of graphic imagery, with one of the best endings ever committed to film. Almost as good as one of Buttgereit’s endings. A must own. Viddy it with the whole family.
