Burnt Offerings
(Dan Curtis; 1976)
(MGM)
-Overview-
A well to do family rents a huge summer house for a two month vacation, but soon discover that the estate is controlled my a malevolent spirit.
Yawn. This film is so dull I could hardly keep my eyes open. Nothing particularly exciting happens save for the end, and the film just plods along. Nothing shocking or even remotely scary in the film. You’d be better off watching The Amityville Horror, which is a far superior film. Despite the presence of Karen Black, Bette Davis, and Oliver Reed, the film just isn’t worth it. Extremely overrated.
