Body Melt
(Philip Brophy; 1993)
(Vanguard Cinema)
-Overview-
A health food company is marketing an experimental drug that’s causing people to become hideously deformed and self destruct. Mayhem ensues.
The cover of this film is very misleading. It looks like a decent sci-fi / horror film, but in reality it’s a cheesy Aussie film that makes little sense. Body Melt is chock full of bad gore effects and laughable death sequences. There’s a small amount of T&A, but nothing noteworthy. Watch at your own discretion. The special effects lab is the same as the one that worked on Dead Alive, so that may give you an idea of what you’re in for. Disappointing.
