Blade 2
(Guillermo del Toro; 2002)
(New Line Home Entertainment)
-Overview-
A new, seemingly invincible strain of vampires has surfaced and begins to wage war on the other vampires as Blade joins forces with the vampires he formerly hunted.
For the life of me I can’t understand why the Blade films are held in such high regard. The concepts range from silly to downright retarded and the so called “brutal violence and gore” simply isn’t there. The film obviously had a monster budget, as the film is completely laden with crappy CGI effects. I’m sorry, but a vampire bursting into CGI sparks does not constitute gore in my book. Sure, there’s a couple gory scenes, but that surely doesn’t make up for the pathetic plot and mindless action. If you enjoyed the first film, and/or are possibly retarded, you will like this one. Utter shite.
