The Beast Within

(Phillipe Mora; 1981)

(MGM)

-Overview-

A horrified teen mutates into a crazed cannibalistic swamp creature bent on revenge. Mayhem ensues.

The Beast Within was one of those tapes I used to see everywhere at the video store as a kid but never managed to see. So when MGM re-released it on DVD under their Midnight Movies lineup I jumped at the chance and it turned out to be a decent little monster flick. Plenty of gore and a decent amount of T&A are prevalent, with the effects being very well done from the good old days of prosthetics. Check it out.
