Baba Yaga
(Corrado Farina; 1973)
(Blue Underground)
-Overview-
A beautiful fashion photographer is seduced by a mysterious woman by the name of Baba Yaga. Soon she is pulled into a world of sadism and lesbian depravity. Artsy fartsyness ensues.
Based on the infamous S&M comic strip Valentina by Guido Crepax, Baba Yaga is an artful rendition of the strip committed to film. Although not as depraved or shocking by today’s standards as the film boasts, it’s still an entertaining diversion and worth checking out for fans of unique and ambitious film. Plenty of T&A and some of the most interestingly shot sex scenes I have had the pleasure of witnessing. Recommended.
