Self Test for Doug's World Awards Program :

This test is what the evaluators will be looking for when evaluating your site. Please be sure your site meets the general criteria so it is free from automatic disqualification upon our first visit. The results you calculate will not be recorded as the self test is completely for your own information.

Please select all that apply to your site from the list below and if you believe that most of the following statements are applicable to your site, you may proceed with the application process.

1. I am the owner and/or webmaster/mistress of the site being nominated.
2. I have read and comply with the criteria, purpose and ethics statement.
3. I agree to display the award image on my site should my application be successful.
4. My site is family friendly, it does not contain pornographic, racist, illegal, hate material.
5. I do not have a horizontal scroll bar at 800 x 600 resolution.
6. I have "Back to top" link (buttons), where the pages may be long.
7. I do not have irregular typography or text LIkE ThiS.
8. I do not have more than one pop-up advertisement in total.
9. I have no "Under Construction" signs or "Coming Soon" notices.
10. I have no major grammar, punctuation or spelling errors.
11. I do not use more than two animated graphics per page.
12. Images have alt tags and HTML is clear with no obvious errors appearing on status bar.
13. My website site contains music with an ON/OFF button or it does not contain music.
14. My website is free of trailing cursors and forced Comet cursor downloads.
15. My website contains no COPYRIGHT infringements.
16. My website is compatible with Internet Explorer 5+ and Netscape 6+.
17. My website is free from broken links, graphics or scripts?
18. I do give my visitors a reason to return?
19. All the pages take less than 60 seconds to load using a 56k modem?
20. The content and design is innovative and unique.
21. If the site collects information, is there a privacy statement?
22. My pages have a consistent and uniform color scheme.
23. My site consists of at least 6 pages, each with full content.
24. I do have Credit and Copyright notices where applicable.
25. Navigation is consistent and clear throughout my site?
26. My contact information is listed clearly?
27. My site is in English or at least offers an English version.
28. The entire content of my site is accessible without passwords and/or memberships?
