My experience with computers was minimal when I first began creating this website and everything I've learned since then has basically been by trial and error. In 1999 I started to create Doug's World and it has been evolving ever since.

As my site developed and my knowledge increased, I decided to open an Awards program in June 2000. At that time my program received a 2.5 rating from AS! and I have re-applied for upgrades five times to date. Each time I've been given a higher level and now two years later on November 5, 2002 my Award program has been given the elite 5.0 rating with Award Sites.

I've also received the "Master Of Awards Gold" ( now retired ) from Netmagic and the "Top Award Graphic Silver Award" from SWA'S for my Award graphics used with my previous program. I also received the prestigious SGA's Top Award Graphic Award on 03/10/02 for the graphics used for the year 2002.

I am currently learning the field of Web Design and Computer Graphics.
