Peni Fitzpatrick from The Dog Company has offered
your name as a reference for her dog training program. We are looking
at taking the Basic Obedience Training classes and were wondering if
you would mind letting us know your thoughts. Some of our specific
questions are:
- Did you find the program succeeded in meeting your expectations?
- What was the progress your dog made?
- How would you rate the instruction?
- Did you feel you received good value for the cost of the program?
- Would you recommend this program to others?
Any other comments you would care to make would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond.

Dear Barnett Family
We have a German shepherd that was giving us problems. We took her to
two different obedience schools, one in Calgary the other in Florida
but she continued to be non responsive to commands and aggressive
towards people and other dogs. I met Peni and explained the problem and
immediately saw that my dog's behaviour changed when Peni was handling
her. Today my dog is as sweet as can be. So to answer your question, my
wife and I were delighted with the results.
By the way there were two problems, the first was
with the dog and the second was me. I did not understand what the dog
was trying to tell me. To answer your questions.
- Definitely
- From a problem one and half year old dog to a well disciplined two and a half year old dog
- A1
- Absolutely. The alternative was to get rid of the dog and that would have been a pity.
- Yes. Peni has a way of giving you some one on one time. There are
no two dogs alike and she seems to be able to read them very well.
Good luck with your training

"Everyone told me my dog was hopeless; you just
laughed, walked away from me a few steps, loved up "Rommell," spoke
quietly to him, and the next thing was, he was listening and having a
great time. I am convinced you are magic."
"Fun! Fun! I learned so much and was so excited that
my dog was right with me so I could work with him right away on things.
I attended one of your seminars! I am no longer a recluse with my dog."

"How do you do that? I was amazed that you had time
for everyone with all those questions and when it was my turn, I felt
like it was just you and me, so one on one. You're so funny and you
didn't make me feel stupid or wrong! I can't wait to sign up for
lessons and another seminar."
-Cheryl & "Buster"
"I heard you on the radio show, "In the Dog House, "
in New Jersey. When I heard you were coming to my area, I emailed you
to see if it was true. So after one email and a great 3 day Seminar, I
am a very confident dog owner. You are pure magic for man & Beast."
Connie & "Shadow"
"My dream dog was a nightmare at 4 months. A police
officer retrieved my wild dog like magic. I asked how he learned to get
animals to respond like that. He told me about you. The devil dog and I
are now known as the Dream Team!! Thank you. You're an Angel!"
"I tell everyone your words to me. "Obedience and
school is for both dog and handler." I loved your flexible time
schedule with my work schedule and the family; it was hard and we had
put off training for far too long, but you made me be consistent. You
got the whole family involved so the kids too knew how to treat the dog
with respect and to walk her and give proper commands. Your patience is
amazing; the kids listened to you better than they do us about the dog.
We now can really enjoy her as part of the family."
