Introduction

CityDesk is a quick and easy solution to Content Management. If you haven't tried CityDesk you don't know how easy Content Management can be. I started using CityDesk primarily because I was searching for a solution to building HTML-Help files for my software tools. CityDesk, with a little manipulation, offered a solution that provided me with a web-site CMS solution as well.

This site was originally built with CityDesk and to-date I've only written one article, Doing HTML Help. In retrospect, the process is long and in some instances arduous. As with most software products and solutions there are much easier and less expensive solutions coming on line all the time.

I'm now looking at CMS Encore Pro. The Pro editions does (remember I'm primarily interested in doing HTML-Help here) everything I need with much, much less work - even with the SiteToHHP conversion tool I built to complement CityDesk in achieving this.
