A Note to Non-Canadians

The Course is Valuable to Non-Canadians.

The law regarding private investigations varies from province to province, state to state, and country to country. The techniques and methodology of private investigators do not vary to any significant degree from place to place. The content of the Academy's course uses Canada as the context for investigations but this does not negatively impact the value of the course for non-Canadians.

Non-Canadian students need to substitute their local institutions for those Canadian Institutions used in the course. For example, the Provincial Courthouse in Canada would be the County Courthouse in the United States. These minor local variations do not in any way impinge upon the value of the course for American and other non-Canadians that wish to take advantage of the training.

No matter what course you take you will have to do some local research into the laws in your location. The research you do will provide you with current local regulations that are relevant to your area.

The methods and techniques used by private investigators from around the world do not change from country to country. We discuss them in great detail and they are valuable no matter where you live. In surveillance, a sandwich tail in Canada is a sandwich tail in the United States. A survey pretext in Canada is a survey pretext in the United States.

Our non-Canadian students, mostly from the United States, tell us that they like the presentation of the course content and have no problem adapting the course to their own location. They particularly like the field exercises as they allow them to implement the content of the course into a real life investigation.

Regardless of where you live, if you are serious about training yourself in the art of private investigation, please take a moment to look through the content of these home pages. The Canadian Academy of Private Investigation is the solution to your educational needs.
