About The Author

Reared in rural Manitoba, Canada, and always a stone's throw from urban life, James Grant McGill has led a very diversified life, evident in the wide spectrum of his writings.
From his upbringing, sprang an unbelievable mind and an imagination beyond compare.
With a goal of sharing enlightenment and hope with all mankind, his dedication to making this world a better place, is simply inexhaustible.
After much travelling and an array of diverse experiences, James, together with his family, have settled in a small rural town, nestled at the edge of the Canadian Rockies.
It is here that he continues to do what he does so well - reaching out to the lost in all of us and touching the very soul of his readers.

It feels so good, just to be alive,
On fresh, clean air, that's how we thrive.
It's so nice to lie back, just truly relax.

"How refreshing to read such straight forward, reassuring thoughts. These words - from a poem called "She" - are those of a man in love with life, who values his time here, and who intends to make the most of it." - Carlton Press 1992

The theme behind James' writing is perhaps said best in A.C. SYLVESTER, Cambridge England.
"Poetry, like any other meaningful writing, is a communication from the writer to the reader. Usually of a feeling as well as of a thought. The peot wants to pack as much meaning as possible in a few lines. That is why he uses figures of speech, since they involve imaginative comparisons. The feeling, the thought, the total poem is inspired (hopefully guided) by God, though it is not necessarily revealed truth."
