Welcome to "Seagate" --on the ocean.

We would like to share our lovely oceanfront home on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia, with you. We are often away travelling and this gives us the opportunity to have guests stay at "Seagate"

After returning from a contract in Australia in 2000 where we saw this design, we built our new home on an acre of oceanfront at Cherry Point, just north of the capital city of Victoria.

This is the living room viewed from Carolyn's artist's loft.

All the rooms in the house have beautiful ocean views. The ocean side has walls of glass and you will see sailboats, eagles, and sometimes, whales. The sixty-five foot deck gives lots of space for outside viewing.

Evenings are quiet and relaxing.

There are nice walks in the area and you will enjoy being on our beach. We are a very short drive from an ocean view golf course and there are several vineyards worth visiting nearby. Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, is about a 45 minute drive south. The Mill Bay ferry which is 15 minutes away, takes you over to the world famous Buchart Gardens.

All of the appliances are good quality .

The deck with the hot tub is soothing and the stars at night are spectacular.

Watch eagles, sailboats, and sometimes whales.

"The week was wonderful--the weather was perfect, the house well equipped and comfortable, the grounds and flowers beautiful, and the views spectacular! When we were on our way back to the house today after a full day, we referred to "going home". That's how we felt after six days--your home felt like our home! Some highlights included Cherry Point Winery, tubing on the Cowichan River, kayaking in Maple Bay, Beacon Hill Park in Victoria, and Fisherman's Wharf.

 
We also enjoyed watching the bald eagle, blue herons, and other birds. Each night the stars were brilliant and filled the sky.
 
As you can tell, we had a wonderful time. Our only regret is the we didn't have an opportunity to meet the two of you. Perhaps we will-- on our next Vancouver Island adventure. Thanks for offering all the comforts of home."

Rates:

$1550 U.S.total per week for up to four guests. Extra guests add $50 per guest per week. Maximum of six guests total. A $500 U.S. deposit will hold your reservation. Because of the care given to our home by past guests, no damage deposit is required and it is our pleasure to offer you a welcome bottle of wine.
