A-488 Leyland 488 was one of a batch of trolleys built for Canton (Guangzhou) but diverted to Australia during WW 2. Others from this batch went to Hobart and Perth. A-216 'Also preserved at the St. KildaTram Museum is Adelaide's and Australia's first trolleybus which ran experimentally between Payneham and Paradise.
