Mapping

I taught myself to create maps when I realized that the commercial available ones were inadequate for my needs. Using public data, open source software like QGIS, and commercial packages like Adobe Creative Suite allows me to create detailed and accurate maps from scratch. These maps are easily integrated into a GIS workflow to plot sites, determine areas, and buffer radii between businesses. I use these skills to create base maps for real estate, as well as for my art projects. Below are some examples.
