Children's Museum of Indianapolis - ( K - 8 ) - this site offers 12 excellent units, topics include Bones, Dinosaurs, Drums, Drama, First Nations and Puppets, for students in K - 8.

EPA Curriculum Resources - ( K - 12 ) - this is a great site for teachers looking for excellent environmental education.

HarperTeacher.com - ( K - 12 ) - HarperCollins Children's Books provide some great teacher resources.

Oatmeal Box Pinhole Photography - ( 3 - 8 ) - this site contains all the instructions you need to make a functioning camera from an oatmeal box, an aluminum soft drink can, and a handful of other easily obtainable supplies.

Vocabulary University - ( K - 12 ) - this site provides a wide variety of high-quality word-based teaching resources.

Museum of Science - ( K - 12 ) - this site created by the Boston Museum of Science contains online exhibits such as Antartica, Everest, Design a Robot, Ancient Egypt and more.

The Busy Educator's Guide to the World Wide Web - ( K - 12 ) - this free electronic newsletter is sent monthly and includes information about Web Sites, books, software, news and more.

Central Pacific Railroad Photographic History Museum - ( 3 - 12 ) - this site contains over 4500 historic images of the railroad and hundreds of relevant articles and links covering all aspects of the history and construction of the railroad.

The Great Plant Escape - ( K - 6 ) - is an award winning interactive Web site hosted by the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign Extension School. Here students will join Inspector Leplant and explore teh mysteries of plant parts, soil, seed, plant reproduction, bulbs and more.

National Women's Hall of Fame - ( 4 - 12 ) - was founded in 1969 and honours American woman from a wide range of contributions to American life.

Oregon Museum of Science and Industry - ( K - 12 ) - great place to visit for a virtual field trip with more than 20 online exhibits including Air Traveler, Eyes on Earth and Moneyville.

The Pulitzer Prizes - ( 7 - 12 ) - contains a database of winners and finalists in the 21 prizes in Journalism, Letters, Drama and Poetry that are awarded annually.

The Religious Movements Homepage Project - ( 9 - 12 ) - this Web site contains over 150 reference pages to all religious traditions and faiths.

Seven Wonders of the Ancient World - ( 6 - 12 ) - this site, created by K. Ashmawy, Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Florida, is devoted to the seven wonders of the ancient world.

Sources - ( 9 - 12 ) - this site contains everthing students need to properly cite sources.

The Teacher Webshelf - ( K - 6 ) - created by Nora Boekhout, a Coquitlam, BC, school teacher. This site contains many great online classroom resources.

Florida Kids Page - ( K - 8 ) - this site contains a lot of information about the state of Florida.

Turtle Trails - ( 4 - 8 ) - this site talks about the project that is tracking turtles through attached satellite transmitters to their shells as they go from northern to southern parts of the state of North Carolina.

Animal Explorers - ( K - 8 ) - this site developed by the Zoo Atlanta, helps educate future zookeepers and conservationists.

MI Kids - ( 2 - 6 ) - this site is a guide to the present and past of the state of Michigan.

Wyland Ocean Challenge - ( K - 6 ) - here you will find downloadable curriculum focusing on the water cycle, adaptations of water creatures and good habits that will preserve clean water for people and animals in the future.

The Web is a great place for teachers to go for templates and design tools that simplify the creation of either print or online worksheets.

Filamentality - having trouble finding ready-made worksheets to complement project-based learning activities in your classroom? At Filamentality, you can design your own! Choose a topic, search the Web for content-rich sites to complement instruction, select an activity format (e.g., Treasure Hunt, Subject Sampler, or WebQuest), then follow on-screen prompts to create an all-text Web-based project.

MakeWorksheets.com - TeAch-nology.com's helpful portal to educational resources includes several free technology-based tools that teachers can use to improve teaching and learning in the classroom.

HPR*TEC's Web Worksheet Wizard - The free Web-based utility available at this site provides educators with a user-friendly way to publish class Web pages or worksheets, complete with pictures and text. Students can create project-based Web posters that remain on the Web for 30 days and can be printed or downloaded for reference.

CIESE Online: Classroom Projects - The Center for Improved Engineering and Science Education at the Stevens Institute of Technology brings you many examples of collaborative, real-time data gathering projects you can do with your students.

Rubric Builder - Rubrics (instructional guidelines) serve several purposes. Teachers appreciate them because they help clarify lesson goals and objectives. Students like them because they pinpoint what must be done in order to meet project goals. At this site, teachers can create Web-based rubrics for online learning activities.

CyberGuides CyberGuides - offers dozens of K-12 standards-driven (California-based) instructional units geared to teaching core literary works in English or Spanish.

The Math Forum @ Drexel - The Math Forum @ Drexel delivers math resources galore to teachers and students, such as the popular Ask Dr. Math, which provides students with expert help in math problem-solving. Other resources at the site include discussion groups, math goodies by subject, weekly problems for solving, and many math tools.
