National Museum of WildLife Art - learn about wildlife and art with the interactive games at this site, which helps students meet art and humanities standards and celebrate our environment.

TrackStar - a free resource that helps teachers organize and annotate Web sites (URLs) for use in lessons. The resource list remains visible allowing the user to easily stay on track.

Lesson Plan Goldmines

Educational Resources and Lesson Plans - ( K - 12 ) - created by Edmund Sass, Professor of Education at the College of Saint Benedict/St. John's University in Minnesota, this site consists of thousands of links to lesson plans and other resources of potential use to education students, teachers, and homeschoolers.

The Birdhouse Network - ( K - 12 ) - is a citizen-science project of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology in which people place birdhouses, or nest boxes, in their yard or neighborhood and then monitor the birds that nest inside.

The Hero's Journey - ( 6 - 12 ) - is a project of the Maricopa Center for Learning & Instruction (MCLI) and the South Mountain Community College Storytelling Institute. It is an environment to explore the classic mythical story structure and to create your own stories.

Impressionism - ( 1 - 8 ) - Impressionism: Paintings collected by European Museums was an art exhibition co-organized by the High Museum of Art, Atlanta, the Seattle Art Museum, and the Denver Art Museum, touring from May through December of 1999. You can download or browse eight teacher lessons introducing the major themes of Impressionism for use in your classroom.

Miami Museum of Science and Planetarium - ( 4 - 8 ) - the Miami Musieum of Science and Planetarium is a member of The Science Learning Network (SLN), an online community of educators, students, schools, science museums and other institutions demonstrating a new model for inquiry science education. The project incorporates inquiry-based teaching approaches, telecomputing, collaboration among geographically dispersed teachers and classrooms, and Internet/World Wide Web content resources.

Bell LIVE!'s Online Eco-Games - ( 4 - 8 ) - at this site you will find two interactive games created by the people at Bell Museum of Natural History in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

U.S. Department of Transportation - ( K - 12 ) - the education section of this site has a little something for everyone.

Essentials of Music - ( 6 - 12 ) - whether you're a casual listener or a serious music student, here's the site for basic information about classical music.

Kids Dig Reed - ( 4 - 8 ) - at this Web site, students can participate in a virtual field trip of the the Reed Farmstead Archaeological site, West Virginia.

Sky View Café - ( K - 12 ) - is a Java applet that lets you use your web browser to see many types of astronomical information, in both graphical and numerical form.

PBS Kids Cyberchase - ( K - 6 ) - this site is chock full of games, online stories, free stuff, and of course, MATH! It helps kids use numbers and logic to solve problems.

Apple Specification Database - Macintosh, curious about how much RAM your Macintosh supports? Want to know if your computer will work with a particular OS upgrade? The Apple Spec Database has specifications for Apple products from 1997 to present, and also has a link for finding information on older products.
