Car Information and Specifications

Dodge Viper GTS

The 1996 Dodge Viper is available in two models; the RT/10 roadster and the new GTS coupe. Both models are powered by a 8.0-liter V10 engine producing 415 horsepower in the RT/10 and 450 horsepower in the GTS. The only transmission available is a 6-speed manual. Standard equipment includes 4-wheel disc brakes, a limited-slip differential and remote theft-deterrent system. Interior features include a tilt steering column, a locking glove box, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and reclining leather bucket seats with lumbar support. Three new exterior design themes and a new color-keyed removable hardtop are also available on the RT/10. The GTS is a bit more civilized on the inside, featuring dual airbags, power windows and door latches, air conditioning and a 6-speaker CD stereo system. The GTS was featured as the Official Pace Car of the 1996 Indianapolis 500, as was the RT/10 in 1991.

The Viper GTS sports coupe is equipped with an 8.0-liter V10 engine that produces 450 horsepower. Standard features include dual airbags, electronic door latches, lightweight seats, adjustable pedals, power windows, and polished aluminum wheels.
