On the 1995 Geneva Auto Show, Automobili Lamborghini presented their latest evolution of the Diablo series, the Diablo SV, where the SV stands for Sport Veloce just like on the Miura SV 25 years ago. This model became the entry-level for the Lamborghini Diablo and was the cheapest of the series--although it still cost over $200,000 US.

71 SV's were made in 1996. In 1998 a limited production run of 20 units was built for the United States, known as the Monterey Edition.
