The Kiwanis Club of Nanaimo Sunrisers

Calendar of Events  

We meet each Thursday at 0800 except on the last Thursday of each month when we meet for lunch.

Throughout the year, we assist at bingos (fund-raising). We sometimes have speakers at our meetings - often from programs we already help, but we welcome approaches from new programs that we may be able to assist.  Of course,  our projects take considerable planning time

OCTOBER - JANUARY

  • We raise funds for Community Kitchens by selling lottery tickets for a Cruise

JUNE

  • We host a free salmon BBQ, with all the fixings, for a local Seniors group

AUGUST

  • The free Bullhead Fishing Derby for those under 12. Held at the Brechin Boat ramp. A tradition for many local families and we welcome visitors .
SEPTEMBER
  • We hold our Installation. This is our annual get-together where we install the new board of directors, celebrate the year's attainments, and look to the future. 

NOVEMBER

  • A favourite event - our Xmas party for special-needs children
