Following my trip to Peru in 2000, I had planned to go back in 2002 following the completion of a work project I had worked on for four years.  And now I've been on the trip.  After 13 days in Ecuador I flew from Guayaquil to Lima, where my luggage got lost.  So I ended up experiencing most of the Peru trip with the clothes on my back, and my cameras and film.  But that only added to the adventure, though I sure would have liked something other than blue jeans to wear for the hot days in Cuzco and Machu Picchu.

The purpose of the Peru trip was to go back to Machu Picchu and spend four days taking pictures, and to do everything I didn't do the first time, either due to lack of time or lack of physical readiness.  But I was determined to climb Huayna Picchu, and to hike up the Inca Trail form Machu Picchu to the Sun Gate.  And I did!
