Moraine Lake, Alberta

Having never been to Moraine Lake before, I arrived and had a quick look around. Being male, I had to climb up the pile of rocks left of the lake front.  I had forgotten my hiking boots, so between slippery running shoes and carrying both my pack and a tripod, it was a little awkward on the way up. But having a prime viewing point all to myself made it all worthwhile. 

Then as I moved around the mini-mountain, I discovered that there were gaggles of other tourists at a observation point on a trail.  So much for being an intrepid explorer!  I took the trail back (since I didn't have the hiking boots) and found this view from a point on the trail going down back to the parking lot.
