After owning a Nissan Pathfinder for 14 years, in the fall of 2006 I bought a new 2006 Nissan Xterra (Off Road model). During my research into what to buy, I cam across a useful website for owners of the newer-style Xterras: www.thenewx.org. The "new X" in the website's name refers to the model change from the first version of the Xterra. There were some websites with lots of information about Xterras, but as much of it applied to the first version of the Xterra, some people started a website specific to the second generation Xterra.
There is a wealth of information about the Xterra on thenewx.org. In particular, there are quite a few "how to" threads, with information on very simple changes or additions that can be made to an Xterra, to complex topics such as full axle swaps. I have contributed some information to the website, and I have listed those contributions below.
