The Renaissance is well located in the township of Esquimalt directly across from the Esquimalt Plaza shopping centre.  The Esquimalt Plaza has a large grocery store, a drug store, a bank, a bakery and a coffee shop.  The immediate area is the focal point of all business and commerce in Esquimalt.  The city hall, recreation centre and sports arena are all within a 3-minute walk.
