Modified version of the official 2225.3 patch, see CHANGES below. Original text follows. This patch brings the retail version of Unreal Tournament 2003 for GNU/Linux to build 2225.3 This will patch the game client and the dedicated server from the original version that came on 3 CD-ROM discs. This patch will NOT update the the freely-downloadable version of the dedicated server, nor will it update the freely-downloadable demo version. It will also not update the various Win32, MacOS X, or x86-64 versions. This is for 32-bit x86 GNU/Linux and compatible platforms only. ========================================================= Making the game feel more like the original UT: - upgrade to this patch, and install the bonuspack - use the UTClassic mutator - use small weapons (Settings|Player menu) - set FOV to 90 (Settings|Player menu) - use the Evil Announcer from the bonus pack (set the announcer voice in the Settings|Audio menu) - install the BrightPlayerSkins mod (client side only) ========================================================= CHANGES: Between 2225.3 and 2225.3.001: - Added update.sh script so update applies itself through loki_update. - Altered /ut2003/updater/update to it will actually use the switches applied to it. If you place a file called AutoPatch.txt in root's ~/.ut2003/System/ directory, with an update URL, the updater will now use it. eg: http://my.update.org/updates.txt Between 2225 and 2225.3: - All sorts of Unix, OpenGL, OpenAL, etc related fixes from the MacOS X port. - Built with gcc3. - Several bogus memory access fixes. - OpenAL and libSDL updated to UT2004 versions. - Closed security hole with GameSpy "secure" packet buffer overflow.
