We are located three minutes from Highway 401 in Woodstock, Ontario,
Canada. This lovely town in the heart of the dairy industry is known as "The
Dairy Capital" and boasts a life-size statue of the world champion cow.
It is also called “The City Beautiful.” We have been
breeding and raising dogs in the area
for about thirty years.
|
Our home is on a hill just at the edge of town. We own nearly an acre
and have an abundance of trees and wildlife. |

|
We have inside/outside kennel runs attached to the grooming room which
is connected to the house.
The Cairns can come inside if the weather is too
bad. This area is heated in winter. |
|
We also have a large chain link-fenced area attached to a small barn
with inside pens. The dogs have access to the pens at all times when
they are out there. In the summertime they run and enjoy life under
shady trees and sleep on the soft green grass. This grass was once
very pleasing to the eye but now it looks as if gophers have joined
the Cairns, making holes here and there. It couldn’t possibly be those
dear little Cairns digging, could it? |

There is a nice assortment of
wildlife to keep the dogs happy. My husband has built a
waterwheel and miniature millhouse where the water flows
from the wheel into a small stream and then into a pond. The water brings the birds that are a joy to watch as
they come to drink and bathe, along with squirrels, raccoons, and the
occasional fox. |
