George
Hodgins was born about 1789, in Tipperary, Ireland; he died in 1855. He
married Sarah Dagg. She was born about 1801, in Cloughjordan, Tipperary,
Ireland; She died Sept. 30, 1870, in
Shawville, Que. George and Sarah lived in the Terryglass area of North
Tipperary. They emigrated to Canada,
and eventually settled in the Renfrew County area of Ontario.

parents as George Hodgins Sr. (b. abt. 1758) and Mary Williams, of Tipperary.

Que. He was the son of John Dagg and
Jane Jones, of Shawville, Que. He was born in 1828, in Tipperary, and died
April 27, 1909 in Portage du Fort, Que. Both Mary and John are buried in St.
George’s Anglican Church cemetery, Portage du Fort, Que. *For more
