Generation No. 1

 

1.  THOMAS1 DAGG  married ANNE SMETHWICK in 1843, in Lissenhall, Co. Tipperary, Ireland.  (Marriage Records of Killaloe Diocese.)

 

Notes for THOMAS DAGG:

Thomas Dagg and Anne Smethwick had 7 boys and 3 girls.  For a more complete listing of the background and descendancy of this family, see  A. Murray Robertson's “History of the Daggs of Lissenhall”.  His records show that Thomas Dagg was the son of John Dagg and Margaret Hodgins, of Lissenhall.  Only four of the names of Thomas and Anne’s children are known at this point.

2.  ADAM2 DAGG (THOMAS1) was born Abt. 1846 in Pallasbeg, Newtown, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.  He married MARIA THORNE February 09, 1880 in Pallasbeg, Newtown, Nenagh, daughter of WILLIAM THORNE.  She was born Abt. 1849 in Mount Prospect, Newport, Tipperary, and died January 08, 1941.

 

Notes for ADAM DAGG: A marriage announcement in the 'Nenagh Guardian' newspaper referred to Adam as the '4th son of Thomas Dagg'.

                 iii.    THOMAS DAGG, b. January 09, 1885, Tipperary, Ireland; d. June 23, 1953, Pallasmore, Newtown, Nenagh; m. MARY ANN BARRY; b. Tipperary, Ireland; d. August 30, 1959, Tipperary, Ireland.  * No children

 

4.              iv.    ELIZABETH DAGG, b. December 25, 1887, Tipperary, Ireland; d. March 13, 1983.

 

5.               v.    JOHN DAGG, b. January 06, 1889, Tipperary, Ireland; d. January 04, 1975.

3.  MARY E. (MOLLIE)3 DAGG (ADAM2, THOMAS1) was born July 20, 1882 in Tipperary, Ireland, and died February 29, 1964.  She married PERCIVAL SPARLING.   He resided at Faha House, Portroe, Nenagh

       

Child of MARY DAGG and PERCIVAL SPARLING is:

                   i.    EILEEN4 SPARLING, d. 1927; Adopted child; m. DAVID WAY.  They resided in Vancouver, B.C..

 

4.  ELIZABETH3 DAGG (ADAM2, THOMAS1) was born December 25, 1887 in Tipperary, Ireland, and died March 13, 1983.  She married JOHN JAMES LEGEER.  He died January 04, 1975.

       

Children of ELIZABETH DAGG and JOHN LEGEER are:

                   i.    RONALD4 LEGEER, b. November 17, 1921; m. MARGARET ANDERSEN, June 15, 1945, Vancouver, B.C..

                  ii.    BESSIE LEGEER, b. July 22, 1919; m. LESLIE NEWTON, June 24, 1943, Vancouver, B.C..

 

5.  JOHN3 DAGG (ADAM2, THOMAS1) was born January 06, 1889 in Tipperary, Ireland, and died January 04, 1975.  He married MARY RYAN February 23, 1930 in Pallasbeg, Newtown, Nenagh.  She was born March 07, 1898, and died January 11, 1979.

       

Children of JOHN DAGG and MARY RYAN are:

                  ii.    SEAN DAGG, b. July 23, 1934; m. MARY CORCORAN, June 18, 1962, Pallasbeg, Newtown, Nenagh; b. November 05, 1934.

6.  MAURA4 DAGG (JOHN3, ADAM2, THOMAS1) was born December 13, 1930.  She married JOHN (JACK) KEANE November 13, 1954.  He was born May 30, 1927.  The resided in Chicago, Illinois

       

Children of MAURA DAGG and JOHN KEANE are:

                   i.    BRIAN P.5 KEANE, b. November 04, 1955; m. BARBARA  M. KORECKY, August 18, 1978; b. May 02, 1958.  * No children.

                  ii.    KATHLEEN M. KEANE, b. January 23, 1960; m. JOSEPH W. SCHMIDT, April 30, 1993; b. September 14, 1954.  * No children

                 iii.    JOHN F. KEANE, b. November 01, 1967.

 

7.  UNA4 DAGG (JOHN3, ADAM2, THOMAS1) was born March 03, 1936.  She married MICHAEL O'SULLIVAN November 12, 1958.  He was born February 16, 1929, and died May 10, 1986.  They resided at Kickham St., Nenagh, Tipperary

       

Children of UNA DAGG and MICHAEL O'SULLIVAN are:

                   i.    JAMES5 O'SULLIVAN, b. January 26, 1960; m. NOIRIN CLEARY, August 02, 1986; b. July 12, 1960.

                  ii.    NOREEN O'SULLIVAN, b. June 25, 1963; m. MICHAEL WALSH; b. September 20, 1965.

8.  JAMES5 O'SULLIVAN (UNA4 DAGG, JOHN3, ADAM2, THOMAS1) was born January 26, 1960.  He married NOIRIN CLEARY August 02, 1986.  She was born July 12, 1960.

       

Children of JAMES O'SULLIVAN and NOIRIN CLEARY are:

                   i.    AOIFE6 O'SULLIVAN, b. April 02, 1992.

                  ii.    DEARBHLA O'SULLIVAN, b. April 14, 1994.

 

9.  NOREEN5 O'SULLIVAN (UNA4 DAGG, JOHN3, ADAM2, THOMAS1) was born June 25, 1963.  She married MICHAEL WALSH.  He was born September 20, 1965.

       

Child of NOREEN O'SULLIVAN and MICHAEL WALSH is:
