Locations of Interest
This page will be dedicated to locations of particular interest to Tulzscha, The Brotherhood of the Greenflame and others. Right now it is just a placeholder page as research is continuing.
Earth: Modern
- These are locations related to the mythos either in modern day or in the near past.
- These include only human cities, non-human cities will be places in the Earth: Exotic section.
Arkham
- Town in Essex county in Massachusetts. Lies on the Miskatonic River.
- Most noteable for the Miskatonic University, a major center of research into the Mythos.
- Also home to S.I.E.P.T..
- While its glory days as a thriving seaport are behind it, Arkham is still an important city for academic research and not the run-down ghost town some claim it is.
Boston
- Home to the cult Masters of the Silver Twilight and the macabre artist Richard Upton Pickman.
- Large Ghoul community currenly living under Boston. Rumor has it that some prominent members of Boston's business and civic communities are actively alligned with these Ghouls.

- As the above mural indicates, there is a large population of Deep Ones living in the area. And while their numbers are not a large, nor are they as open as they were in the past, they are still a concern.
- At this time not an overly friendly city for members of the Brotherhood of the Green Flame.
Innsmouth
- A coastal town in Massachusetts.
- Was once a major seaport with much international trade
- During the war of 1812, however, many of their ships turned privateer to harrass the British fleet and the lose of both men and ships was too much for the town to sustain.
- The towns fortunes continued to falter until Obed Marsh created the Esoteric Order of Dagon.
- But even fortune the cult brought in couldn't save the town.
- In 1846 The Innsmouth Plague resulted in the death and half the towns population and resulted in many heriditary defects in the remaining population.
- After that outsiders shunned the town.
- The town became a hub for booze smuggling during prohibition and in 1929 a government raid shut down not only the bootleggers, but the Esoteric Order of Dagon.
- To this day most people locals will avoid the town and most fishermen will not got near its shore.
Kingsport
- Small costal town in Massachusetts, south of Arkham.
- Currently a tourist town with a large artists' colony.
- Its fortunes have waxed and waned throughout the years, having seen good times has a fishing town, seaport and even having military significance during the Revolutionary War.
- Was at one time the home to Servant of Tulzscha, Brotherhood of the Green Flame, but that chapter was broken up in 1722.
South Carolina
- One of the 13 original colines in the United States.
- Large and aggressive South Baptist forces have kept mythos forces from gainign a foothold during the modern era.
- However, recent reports suggest that there may be Dark Young in the area.
Earth: Ancient
- These are locations related to the mythos either in the past, from prehistoric times to the industrial revolution.
- Again, these include only human cities, non-human cities will be places in the Earth: Exotic section.
Earth: Exotic
- These are cities build by Outer Gods, Great Old Ones or Lesser Races.
- Most of these locations are either no longer in existence, burried under the earth, sunk beneath the ocean or will be built in the distance future.
Space: Solar System
- Many planets and moons in our solar system have been visited, or indeed colonized, by beings related to the Mythos.
- This section will deal with each planet in general and specific locations on some.
Mercury
- Currently there is no mythos activity on Mercury.
- In the distant future, a species of intelligent plants will evolve on Mercury.
- Sometime after that, the Great Race of Yith will inhabit these intelligent plants.
Venus
- Home to a species of snake like humanoids called The Lords of Venus.
- Their appearance as lead to the mistaken belief held by some that Serpent People originated on Venus.
Earth
Mars
- Native home of the Aihai people.
- Current home to the plant like Elder God Vulthoom.
- Most of the modern Aihai believe Vulthoom is a myth, but a small and deticated cult servers to spread his power to other planets.
Thyoph
- Thyoph was the name of the planet which was destroyed, thus creating our Asteroid Belt.
- An essence of Azathoth was summoned to Thyoph, either intentionally or accidentally.
- The resulting power destroyed the planet and all its inhabitants.
- Little is known about the inhabitants of Thyoph.
Jupiter
- One time home to the Flying Polyp before they abandoned that planet for the Earth.
- The four Galilean moons all have or have had mythos activity, but the details are a little sketchy are the moment. I hope further research will illuminate the situation.
Saturn
- It was known as Cykranosh during Hyperborean times.
- Was used as a an escape route by the wizard Eibon.
- One time home to Tsathoggua and Atlach-Nacha and still the home of Hziulquoigmnzhah.
Uranus
- Known as L'gy'hx to the native inhabitants.
- These strange inhabitants are metal, cubical, many limbs creatures.
- They worship an incarnation of Nyarlathotep called Lrogg (a two-headed bat.)
- Was the one time home of Shan, but cross-conversion between their respective religions lead to conflicts.
- There are still some Lrogg worshipping Shan on Uranus.
Neptune
- Known as Yaksh to its inhabitants.
- Home time home of Hziulquoigmnzhah till the religious prectices of Yaksh's inhabitants annoyed the Great Old One enough that he fled for Saturn.
Pluto
- There is some confusion between Pluto and Yuggoth. They may be the same planet, Yuggoth may be Pluto's moon Charon, or it may be an giant trans-Pluto planet that hasn't been discovered by Earthly Astronomers.
- Home to the Mi-Gos.
- One time home to Glaaki, Rhan Tegoth, Hziulquoigmnzhah, (he moved around a lot) and may still be the home of Cxaxukluth.
- Here Mi-Go mine Tok'l and other minerals / gems and constructed the Shining Trapezohedron.
- Before the Mi-go arrived there was an unknown species or being who lived in a city of green piramids. While not much is known about this being, the Mi-Go are so cautious about this threat that they abbandon this city during certain times of the year.
Space: The Galaxy and Beyond
- Any location not located within our solar system, but within the same Dimension.
- Court of Azathoth is an example of a location that will be detailed here.
Court of Azathoth
- The center of the Universe where the laws of time and space do not apply.
- This is the current residence of Azathoth, Tulzscha and other Outer Gods.
- Occasionally Shantaks have been known to carry their riders here, instead of their desired destination.
Yaddith
- Planet in the five star system near the Deneb System.
- Was once, and may currently be the home of Shub-Niggurath.
- The planet's surface was destroy when Dholes burrowed to its core.
Transdimensional
- Any location not found wholely within our dimension will be detailed here.
- Some are completely outside our dimension, others are physically connected to ours and other dimensions.
- Due to the amount of information to be found on the Dreamlands, it will be detailed in the next section.
Chronosphere
- Dimesion mentioned in A Matter of Time
- Chronosphere was just the name used by the author, the name used by the inhabitants is unknown.
- From the description of the inhabitants found in the book, one could surmise that they are Dimensional Shambler.
- According to Professor Kairos, time moves slower the larger the scale. The smaller the object, the faster it moves through time. Also, the farther apart two objects are, the slower time moves for them.
- Because of this, it is almost impossible for two beings to have a shared sense of time.
- Traveling through this dimension is very disorienting and the time it takes to do so is from an outside perspective is impossible to judge in advance. If a traveller spends what felt like 3 months in this dimension, him might return home to find centuries have passed, or it could be just a few seconds, or he could have even return before he had left.
Dreamlands
- A parallel dimension to our own.
- You can travel here both physically and through dreams.
- There are many parallels to Earth, but many important differences.
Celephais
- A city within the Dreamlands with great marble walls and massive gates of bronze.
- Time within the city barely moves in relation to outside the city. You could leave for months, even years and when you return hardly any time will have passed.
