Servants of Tulzscha: Individuals and Organizations

The Servants of Tulzscha, Brotherhood of the Green Flame

· This is just a brief overview of our Cult. For a more in depth study please consult the
Brotherhood of the Green Flame pages.
· The strength of Tulzscha's worshippers on Earth has waxed and waned over the years.
· In ancient times Tulzscha's worshippers were a small but important part of many star worshipping cultures. Including the Egyptians, Mayans and Druids.
· In Kingsport, during late 17th century a new cult dedicated to the worship of Tulzscha was established. It was said that the authorities destroyed this cult, but in fact they majority of the members left on the backs of Byakhees to meet with Tulzscha.
· Currently there is a resurgence in Tulzscha's popularity. Today, I'm proud to report, The Brotherhood of the Green Flame is truly an international organization with members throughout the world. We have members from Sweden in the North to New Zealand in the south, and nearly all place in between.

Brothers of the Yellow Sign

Hastur.
· Particularly brutal cult, even by other Outer God's and Great Old One's standards.

Church of the Starry Wisdom

· A cult founded in 1884 and based in Providence, Rhode Island.
· One of the cults that worship
Nyarlathotep under the name Haunter of the Dark.
· In this form Nyarlathotep could only be summoned in absolute darkness, any light would banish him.
· Rumoured to have the Shining Trapezohedron, as well as many sacred texts.
· In 1877 the townsfolk took action against the church after a series of unexplained disappearances.
· Cults of the same name have periodically sprung up across the United States and the United Kingdom ever since, but any real connection to the original cult is supposition.
· There currently may be Starry Wisdom cults in both Florida and California.

Esoteric Order of Dagon
  • An Innsmouth branch of the many Deep Ones cults found throughout the world.
  • Founded by Obed Marsh in 1840 who learned of the religion from natives in Polynesia.
  • In 1846, during The Innsmouth Plague, the cult was able to shut down all other churches in Innsmouth and take full control of the town.
  • Many members of the cult have what is known as the Innsmouth Look. These people have fish like qualities.
  • The cult was destroyed in a government raid in 1928 but other branches of this cult remain.

Cthulhu.

· Founded in 1657, their goal is to raise R'lyeh from the ocean depths so Cthulhu can be freed to rule Earth.
· Many members apparently are undead.

The Society for the Investigation and Elimination of Paranormal Threats

· Started in the late 1920s or early 1930s in Arkham.
· While they excel in the investigation part, their track record on elimination leaves much to be desired.
· Of particular interest to us is their research skills and impressive library. The combined membership of The Society can speak, or at least read: English, French, Arabic, Italian, German, Chinese, Hebrew, Aramaic, Latin, Greek among others.
· Important members include:
  1. Charles Evans: Founder and financier of the Society.
  2. Professor Ford: Professor of Anthropology and author of the Ford Translation.

The Whateleys

· Not so much a cult as a twisted Family.
· Known members include George Whateley, Oliver Whateley, Noah Whately (a.k.a. Old Man Whateley and Wizard Whateley), Lavinia Whateley and Wilbur Whateley. · The clan lived in Dunwhich from about the early 1700s on.
· The first Whateleys were industrialists that participated in the economic boom member, until 1806 when George Whateley suffered a mental breakdown. After that, the economic prospects of the Whateley and Dunwich both suffered greatly.
· The first connection between the occult and the Whateley came in 1870 when Oliver Whateley was lynched by the townfolk over accusations of witchcraft.
· By this time the Whateleys had degenerated into poor, inbred, farmers.
· Oliver's son, Noah Whateley, carried on his father's work .
· Old Man Whateley married Ada had a child, Lavinia in 1878.
· Rumors were that Old Man Whateley and Ada were closely related as Lavinia was an albino, who was simpleminded and had birth defects.
· Lavina Whateley never married, but in 1913 she gave birth to twins. One of which was never seen in public.
· The other twin, Wilbur Whateley matured extremely fast, both physically and mentally.
· The father of these twins was reported to be an avatar of
Yog Sothoth.
· Old Man Whateley died on August 1st, 1924.
· Lavina Whateley died October 31st, 1926. Rumor has it she was killed by her son.
· Wilbur Whateley died two years later in an attempt to steal a copy of the Necronomicon.
· On September 15th, 1928 and incident named, 'The Dunwhich Horror' was thought to have killed the other twin, but that was never confirmed.
