Lived at Elvanbank when first married. "Removed from thence to the Craighill in the Parish of Ettrick at Whitsunday in the year 1872". In 1882/83 they moved to the Braidlee Roberton Selkirk. In 1903 they moved to Asyburn Ancrum Roxburgh.  In preparation for their move to Canada they briefly moved to  Lanton Mill in Nov. 1906.  The last of the family emigrated to Canada between July 7 and Aug. 7, 1907 to Maple Creek, Saskatchewan
