DEC/07 QUEST DISABLED WHEN THE ZONE WAS TAKEN DOWN

These portals were put in place in ZP to help you with the farming of faction. Completing the portal adds 600+ to your faction and are repeatable.

However, Please have courtesy for your fellow players and don't go through the portal unless you have the people available to complete it. If you do go through and for some reason are unable to complete it, at least talk to the mob, or get the popup so the quest will despawn quicker and the portal will come back up. Also this way someone can come along and kill the mob if it is up. Otherwise they will have to wait 2+ hours until it despawns.

First of all, only one person can enter each portal at a time (have your team already assembled to the spot you will port to, see below). If you completed the alignment quest for a certain faction, you will be unable to log the portal quest for that faction. Unsure if you complete 2 different faction quests if the first one that was closed to you will then allow you through or not.
xnoobmasterx: Each portal ports you to a specific area in Norrath, after you go thru it you kill a mob, drops 8 items and turn in item for xp and big faction gain (+100 faction per turn in) for your respective ZP side (Zek or Marr or Akessan).

Clarification on which portals you should use from Realmarch1:
If you are factioning Akessan you would utilize Fiery portal or Divine portal because you're killing Zec and Marr. Their drops grant you xp, and killing those mobs won't give you negative Akess faction. If you are factioning Hg(Marr) you would utilize the Arcane portal or Fiery portal. If you are factioning Zek you would utilize the Arcane portal or Divine portal.

Divine Portal- Honor Guard mobs:

Gerntar Mines:
Evangelist of Marr walks the road from the lake where you spawn to the encampment that you can see in the distance. You have at least 2 hrs to find/talk to her before she will despawn. Talk to her she will tell you to meet her over the hill (and disappear). The place she's talking about is in Gerntar Mines (E), pretty close to the small encampment of tents with Aragace Deepforge and his friends. On the side of the nearby hill there are 4 sets of 2 Dwarven Disciples surrounding the Evangelist of Marr.
When you engage the Evangelist, she will port you around to these dwarves, so it's highly recommended you kill all the dwarves first. The dwarves hit minimums on 3k AC and have some decent AoE nukes, but are easily killed 2 at a time by an alc with a healer, and could certainly be soloed. The Evangelist could probably be soloed by certain classes, but I would recommend at least a 2 man grp including a solid DD and a healer.
Evangelist will AoE port (range seems to be 10 or 15) you all around to where the dwarves were throughout the fight, so ranged attacks will be far more useful than melee. With one DD, it takes 15min or so to kill, and it despawns in like 1hr if you haven't killed by then, so have your force there b4 you talk.
Comment from rosered:
If you do the Divine Portal, which is easily one groupable, you can get 600 faction each time before doing alignment quest and then 800 each time after doing the quest.

Arcadin:
Recruiter of Marr is by a tree NWish of where you spawn (due west of Arcadin gate). He will stay up (unattackable) for at least 2hrs if you don't talk to him, so again, have your crew there b4 you talk. When you talk to him, back away as far/fast as you can as the mob will despawn and a KoS version will spawn in the exact same spot.
The Recruiter is significantly tougher than the evangelist, again, probably soloable by certain classes, but I would advise against trying. This mob has a TON of HP, takes about 30min to kill with 1 DD. He quads about as hard as a desert marauder, and has what seems to be a lifetap proc, and a couple nukes/crits.
Ideal setup for this mob would be a tank, healer, and 2 good DD's, although you could kill with a solid DD and a healer if they were built right. Don't try to tank him with under 4k ac unless you got plenty of heals. I can kill him on CL and ALC but just barely and takes forever.
Once you spawn the attackable version, you have no more than an hour before he despawns, might be closer to 45min, so wait until you ready.

Arcane portal - Akessan mobs:

Hodstock/Temby:
Merchant Akila in Temby(the town on the coast, east of where you spawn) is the one that doesn't belong. He is in a booth by where Ratwere NPC's are. He will stay up for at least 2 hours in merchant form, so don't talk until you are ready because once you do, you only have about 20min to kill before he reverts back to merchant form and you fail (no you can't re-talk). For this mob you will need a minimum of 3 people including a SOLID tank, healer, and stacker, although a tank with ultra high AC and full raid buffs might be able to kill with just a healer. Once you talk, he says to come find him, etc... He is due west on top of a hill by the river (north of danny the foot a hill or 2). Akila the Spy is the mob you are looking for. First form is a pushover, dead in 10sec and quads mins. 2nd form is a bit tougher. With 4k ac, he quads about 800 per hit, and he has some hefty crits also. I would highly recommend bringing a 6k ac tank, a faithful, and a couple necs as you will only get one try to kill before he despawns.

Crethley Manor:
Ordinary golem statue or w/e name is, cant miss it. Kill the statue which has a ton of hp (takes ~30min to kill with 1 dd) and 4 mobs will spawn (usually 3 black 1 white). Nobody I know has COMPLETED this quest, so IDK for sure if it can be done even. That in mind, I'll say what I do know. To kill these mobs you will need: 1 solid tank (ac is a must have), 1 healer, a couple stackers, a couple DD's. These mobs are like desert bandits on steroids. They die fairly quickly though so it's not that bad. There must be some sort of pattern you have to kill the mobs in (cuz none of them drop anything). I'm thinking probably have to kill all the black ones until there's only white ones left, then kill the white ones to spawn something else, but idk, it may not even be completable.

Fiery portal - Zek mobs:

Moggok Gate:
Run North from where you spawn and you get popup in C and see a horde of 25+ goblins in a crater type spot with an ogre monk (scoutmaster) amongst them. The Scoutmaster is the mob you need, but even if you pull him away, he will port you to the center of the mass of goblins. I would say you'd need at least a
raid force of 12 people to be able to do this portal successfully. The goblins keep respawning, so killing them all first is not an option. Scoutmaster quads hard and chain nukes like a madman in addition to porting you to his buds. To my knowledge, nobody has found an easier way to do this portal yet.

LSM:
Go toward the castle, when you get to the catapults, run around between them and you will get a popup and spawn Expert Bombadier, a big fire giant. I've never done this mob but I hear he is easily one-grouped. Good luck.

Please have courtesy for your fellow players and don't go through the portal unless you have the people available to complete it. If you do go through and for some reason are unable to complete it, at least talk to the mob, or get the popup so the quest will despawn quicker and the portal will come back up. Also this way someone can come along and kill the mob if it is up. Otherwise they will have to wait 2+ hours until it despawns.
