        Ice Cube stars as Darius Stone, after Vin Diesel refused to reprise the role. Samuel L. Jackson reprises his role as NSA agent Gibbons. When an elite team of bad guys storm his team's headquarters, he enlists Stone as the new Triple X.

Stone makes an impressive prison escape to fullfil his new role, since the job is undercover. It is realizes that the same bad guys will attempt to assassinate the President, and the rest of the movie deals with them doing everything they can do prevent that. The coolest parts of the film are the stunts, like landing a boat on a bridge, a battle between tanks on an aircraft carrier, and a chase between a helicopter and a fast moving train. This movie also has great dialogue and humor, which provides the needed comic relief. Of course, the movie would be nothing without a great soundtrack, and it has that, too! As implausible as the movie is, it's great fun and a real adrenaline rush! Whether it's about as good as the original movie...that would depend if you like Vin Diesel or Ice Cube better. I do recommend this film.
