Danny Glover and Cary Elwes star
in this deranged movie about a psychotic who puts his victims in
deadly situations to make them "appreciate" life more. He makes
them perform inhuman acts on themselves or a second victim
within a time limit. If the task is performed, they are let go,
if not, they are brutally killed. The previews make the movie
seem a lot more gruesome then it actually is. As compared to
other horror films, it could be much scarier. The plot and
storyline are very well developed, and the relationships between
characters are frighteningly realistic. The camera work and
special effects enhance the movie and it's overall sense of
realism, as does the haunting music. The majority of the film is
mind games with the characters. I would have rather seen more
action and thrills. The movie was a whole entertaining and kept
the viewer's attention. I do recommend this movie.
