Harrison Ford and
Paul Bettany star. Ford stars
as Jack, an experienced bank manager and family man who has his
hands full with another banking firm trying to merge his bank
with their collection of banks across the country. Then, one
night, a group of criminals, lead by Bettany's character. invade
Jack's home and take him and his family hostage. They force him
to find a way to bypass the security system he created in order
to access millions of dollars in customer accounts, using his
family as incentive.
Being a computer geek, I can appreciate the title of the film. A
firewall in software terms
essentially means blocking access to internal company
information. That said, I have always appreciated Harrison Ford
as an actor, and this film is no exception. The rest of the
cast, (including
Mary Lynn Rajskub, from the tv
show "24"),
keep this film intriguing and suspenseful. The one thing I do
not like about this movie is that the scenes jump around too
much. Just when the audience is intrigued with one scene, their
interest is pulled to something else. Admittedly, I have seen
better Harrison Ford films. I do recommend this movie. |
