Bruce Willis and
Mos Def star. A depressed and
overworked police officer (Willis) is forced to work overtime
after a long, hard day. He is told to drive a prisoner (Mos Def)
to a court room 16 blocks away, so the prisoner can testify
against corrupt police officers. However, those police officers
believe their lives will be ruined if that happens, so they go
after the prisoner and the officer to kill the prisoner so that
he can't testify. They try to make it look like the police offer
killed the prisoner when they realize the police officer isn't
willing to cooperate with their plan to protect the corrupt
officers' lives. Chasing and gunfights ensue while Willis's
character attempts to take the prisoner to the courthouse to
testify.
All in all, a good action flick with a decent storyline. Superb
acting by Mos Def complements Bruce Willis's role. Although
Willis is the main character, Mos Def has more of an impact on
the audience through his performance and fast-talking. The film
is a decent action flick, but not one of Willis's best. I do
recommend this movie.
