< style="font-family: helvetica,arial,sans-serif;">BCSSA Gr. 12 Essay Scholarship
The Essay Scholarship provides financial assistance to students planning to pursue a teaching career. This year the BCSSA will award seven scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each. Students wishing to be considered must be currently enrolled in their final year of studies at a BC public secondary school and expected to graduate in 2008. In addition to submitting an essay, applicants must provide a transcript of grades and two letters of reference attesting to school/community leadership.  < style="font-family: helvetica,arial,sans-serif;">
One scholarship winner for an essay written in English will be selected in each of the BCSSA's six regional chapters by a committee of educators. One province-wide scholarship winner for an essay written in French will be selected by a committee of francophone educators.  <>
Deadline for entries: March 20, 2008

Youth Canada is a non-profit organization started by high school students, The website's target audience is Canadian students and it offers a comprehensive list of youth programs, advice about university and scholarship applications, as well as a forum for students to ask questions and share ideas.
