iEARN-Canada has been active in iEARN since 1992. Originally
based with the Alberta Global Education Project, iEARN-Canada is
now coordinated by educators based also in Alberta who are
affiliated with SchoolNet Canada. Both English and
French-speaking communities are actively involved. Since the
1990s, iEARN-Canada staff have facilitated the "Kids from Kanata"
project, linking native schools. Schools have an interest in
environmental and literary projects.

Stemnet provides free of charge
to its users (and possibly others too) use
of the sitescape forum for communication among teachers and students. It's
a great tool for partnered classrooms or even just for communication among
students in the same classroom. It can be used by Core French and immersion
students.
