Click on "Speech Synthesis" in the left menu bar for FIPSVox...
"FIPSVox is an experimental speech synthesis system for
written French text developed at...the Department of
Linguistics of the University of Geneva, in
collaboration with the LAIP (University of Lausanne)"
Basically, you type in a French word or phrase, and your
browser pronounces it for you.  Always choose "avec
prosodie" rendering. FIPSVox uses a Parisian accent and
responds with clear, full-speed French.
The system produces a *.wav or RealAudio file of your
sentence.  Initial delivery over the Web takes several
seconds on a slow modem, but you can store the spoken
phrase on your local hard drive and play it again and
again for "répétez après moi" practice.
