Some of your questions answered:

Are the dances you teach “proper” line dances?

All the dances we teach are scripted line dances; every dance is individually choreographed to each music track.

What style of line dancing do you teach?

We teach traditional Country & Western line dances which a lot of people are familiar with, as well as some new ones.

Our non-Country dance styles include contemporary music in Latin, Popular, Rock, Easy Listening and Rock’n’Roll genres.

Also included are Waltz, Cha Cha, Rumba, West Coast Swing and Night Club 2-step, as well as a number of other rhythms.

What should I wear?

Loose fitting, casual clothing is always suitable.  Dress in layers - if it is cold, you will soon warm up and may wish to remove a jacket or top.  You are welcome to dress in traditional jeans and cowboy boots if you wish.

What shoes should I wear?

Wear any footwear you are comfortable in, although runners are not recommended as they tend to stick to the floor and not allow you to move properly.  Traditional Western line dancing boots or shoes are ideal.

Are these classes suitable for beginners?

The dances we teach are suitable for all levels of dancer.  If you have never danced before, you will soon pick up the steps.

If you are an experienced line dancer, you can practise the steps you already know as well as learn new ones.

After a warm-up session, we start with some simple dances before moving on to more interesting ones.

More complex dances are reviewed and practised in following weeks.
